Introduction 

mouning dou to pediatric cancer is a very coplez experience for parents , but it is a also a way to porsuing a meaning in life, and a new connection to reality.They began the process with the treatment and then follow it in workshops and events   in which remember and honor their children.

Methodology

Narrative review with updated bibliography, which willbe articulated with interviews and workshops for parents who have been in themourning process during 2024/February 2025.

 

General and Specific objectives

To highlight the importance of pursuing a meaning in lifefor parents who had lost a child due to pediatric cancer.

 

  • To evidence the changes in the mourning process in parents who are pursuing a meaning in life after losing their children.
  • To highlight the importance of belonging to a social supportin order to share the process.

         To assess the tools that offer the psycho oncology for parents who are pursuing a meaning after the death of their children

Results 

  • The study evidencedthat thepursuit of meaning begins when parents decide to continue their lives. Parents need to understand that they were with their children up to the end and, therefore, they need to pursuit a meaning in life again to reduce the pain they have suffered.
  • Also, social support is important to find meaning in life, prioritize moments, reduce the loneliness and facethe mourning process.
  • Psycho emotional support is the most important in the mourning process, workshops are a good place to share with parents who are in the same situation.

 

Conclusions

To sum up, pursuingmeaningin life after the death is considered an important process that links the emotional and social support to face the mourning process. They are really needed in order to find the meaning in life and, therefore, honor the love to their children
