This session is aimed at members of the multidisciplinary team who would like to gain the knowledge and skills to support people to engage in diet and exercise behaviours after a cancer diagnosis. The content will be targeted at those who are not Exercise or Diet professionals.
The session will provide the evidence base (the “why”), an overview of recommendations and advice that MDT members who are not exercise or diet professionals can share (the “what”). The session will include practical tips on how exercise and diet support may be incorporated within a busy clinical role (the “how”), from members of the MDT who are working in the field.
The audience will walk away with an awareness of the current evidence of diet and exercise during and following cancer treatment and the skills to support patients with these behaviours.
An interactive panel discussion with all speakers and questions from the audience will conclude the session.
