Sophie Boffa
Sophie Boffa is the Manager of the Clinical Governance Policy Implementation Unit at Safer Care Victoria. Over the past decade, Sophie has published research and frameworks related to clinical governance in the acute healthcare sector, including the first and current versions of the Victorian Clinical Governance Framework.
Sophie holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Melbourne, a Master of Diplomacy and International Trade from Monash University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Sophie is also a passionate advocate for pregnancy-associated bowel cancer, representing Bowel Cancer Australia in Parliament and representing Australia as a panellist on the American based FightCRC’s international symposium in 2021. Sophie is currently an Associate Investigator on the Equitable Cancer Outcomes Across Rural and Remote Australia (ECORRA) Trial funded by the MRFF. In this role she chairs a national consumer advisory committee advising on delivery of best practice care across rural and remote Australia. Sophie is also an Associate Investigator on the Understanding Pathways to Bowel Cancer Early Diagnosis and Treatment (UPBEAT) Victorian Cancer Council Early Fellowship Project.
