Courtney Bitz
Courtney Bitz, LCSW, OSW-C is the Senior Director, Social Work in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Courtney has been in the field of psycho-oncology for over 18 years specializing in evidence-based intervention modalities, concurrent program development, and organizational development. Courtney was awarded Oncology Social Worker of the Year in 2020 by the National Association of Oncology Social Work for her contributions to the field. Courtney spearheaded the development of the Couples Coping with Cancer Together Program, which provides strength-based education and support to patients diagnosed with cancer and their partners. Courtney has published in Psycho-Oncology, Oxford University Press and Journal of Supportive Care in Cancer. She has presented her work at numerous international and national professional conferences including World Congress of Psycho-Oncology, American Psychosocial Oncology and American Society of Clinical Oncology.
