Leilani Way
Leilani Way is a Survivorship Nurse Navigator at the Mater Women’s Cancer Survivorship Clinic. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Arts in Nursing, a Diploma of Management, and is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
Leilani brings a broad range of clinical experience, including haematology, haemoglobinopathies, apheresis, stem cell transplantation, and medical oncology. Her current focus is on supportive cancer care and survivorship for patients with genitourinary, colorectal, gynaecological, and breast cancers.
She leads the Cancer Survivorship Project and actively contributes to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes. Leilani also serves as an international peer reviewer for Q1-ranked journals in evidence implementation.
