Felicity WK Harper
Dr. Felicity Harper is Division Head of Population Sciences and Professor in the Department of Oncology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Associate Center Director of Population Sciences at Karmanos Cancer Institute. She is also a licensed Clinical Psychologist at Karmanos, working with patients and their families across the cancer care continuum from diagnosis to survivorship. As an National Institutes of Health-funded researcher in the USA, Dr. Harper has studied the psychological and social factors that influence the emotional well-being, quality of life, and health behaviors of cancer patients and their families for the past 20 years. Her work focuses in particular understanding and reducing health disparities among underserved groups. She has also developed a smartphone app, MyPatientPal, to monitor patient-reported adverse events while on cancer clinical trials.
