Revathy Sudhakar
I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psycho‑oncology at the Cancer Institute (W.I.A.) in Adyar, Chennai. Holding an M.Phil in Psycho‑oncology, I have been a dedicated member of the institute since February 2017. With over 14 peer-reviewed publications and 43 citations, my research focuses on the psychosocial dimensions of cancer care in India. My work focuses on critical topics including Psychosocial impacts of the COVID‑19 lockdown on cancer patients, Barriers to establishing a childhood cancer registry in Chennai, and Unspoken experiences of patients with advanced cancer, published in international journals. In addition to research, I am serving as the Executive Committee Member of the Psycho‑oncology Society of India. Passionate about integrating psychological care into oncology services, my passion lies in clinical assessments, counseling proficiency, and psychoeducational initiatives aimed at reducing distress and improving quality of life for cancer patients.
