Brigid Mackenzie

Brigid Mackenzie (BIGS, MCom) is currently completing her Honours Psychology degree at the School of Psychology, the University of Sydney. Her qualitative research explores the role of clinical psychologists in the voluntary assisted dying (VAD) process, with the aim of informing the development of ethical, evidence-based, and supportive VAD practices for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Brigid is passionate about improving end-of-life care, supporting mental health in complex medical contexts, promoting patient autonomy in healthcare decision-making. She hopes to continue contributing to research that centres the voices and values of patients navigating healthcare experiences.
