Carol Chan, BAppSci (Physio), PhD Candidate (University of Sydney)
Carol Chan is a registered physiotherapist with extensive clinical experience in pelvic floor disorders. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney and is currently a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the same institution. Her doctoral research explores bowel dysfunction and quality of life following colorectal cancer surgery and treatment.
Carol has a strong clinical and academic interest in anorectal dysfunction, pelvic floor conditions, and oncology rehabilitation. She has undertaken advanced training in pelvic health and anorectal physiology, equipping her to assess and manage complex pelvic floor disorders in both men and women using a holistic, patient-centred approach.
Her PhD work focuses on pelvic oncology and post-surgical rehabilitation. She is passionate about improving outcomes for cancer survivors through clinical research and is actively involved in several studies investigating anorectal pathology, functional outcomes, and quality of life.
