Tess Deveze (they/them)
Australian of the year 2023 nominee Tess Devèze (they/them), is a clinical sexuality occupational therapist, somatic sexologist and sexuality educator. Through fighting stage 3, and now, advanced stage 4 cancer, Devèze founded community-based oncosexual clinic 'ConnectAble Therapies. Deveze also founded the global support initiative ‘intimacy and cancer’ providing gender-inclusive sexuality and cancer care. With over 7,500 members, globally from over 50 countries, this online initiative educates, offers resources, access to evidence based information and community through peer engagement. Deveze has authored ten oncosexual resources, and consults clinical organisations globally, towards sexually inclusive care and its management.
